Weak cool front moves through Central Florida. Here’s what it means for you

Winds pick up in Orlando area later in week

ORLANDO, Fla. – A weak cool front is moving southward across Central Florida on Monday, stalling just to our south Tuesday.

Expect highs to remain at or a bit above normal in the mid- to upper 80s inland, and low 80s along the coast thanks to an onshore breeze.

Tuesday & Wednesday

A reinforcing cool front will sweep through Central Florida on Tuesday and Wednesday as high pressure builds in across the Southeast U.S.

A few scattered showers can’t be ruled out as the front passes by, keeping coverage at a minimal 20%.

Late Week-Weekend

Once the front clears winds will crank up, increasing winds out of the north, which will boost the threat for rip currents and minor beach erosion.

Expect a mostly dry stretch through the extended period, with just isolated onshore showers returning by the weekend.

Temperatures will trend toward something more seasonable by Thursday into the weekend, with highs in the low to mid-80s.
