ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Floridians are in for a wild weather ride over the next five days.
After a stretch of warm, muggy days with highs in the mid-80s, a sharp cold front early next week will send temperatures plummeting into the 40s -- and even the 30s in some spots!
Friday
Moist air and a little upper-level energy will bring a few isolated showers to Central Florida. Rain chances sit around 20–30%, with the best chance along the coast and offshore waters.
Expect more clouds than sun, with highs in the low to mid-80s and overnight lows in the 60s.
Weekend
Highs will reach the upper 80s, with the air feeling more like late summer than November.
By Sunday, change starts brewing, and a strong cold front will begin pushing south into Florida. A few isolated showers could pop up late in the day, but rain chances remain low.
Temperatures will still be warm, with highs in the mid-80s, before cooler air starts sneaking in overnight into Monday.
Monday & Tuesday
The front will officially clear the area by early Monday, bringing drier air, gusty northwest winds and a noticeable temperature drop.
Highs on Monday will only make it to the 60s north of Orlando and low 70s further south.
But then comes the real chill as overnight lows fall to the coldest temperatures of the season, into the 30s and 40s Tuesday morning.
Wind chills could make it feel even colder, dipping into the low to mid-30s across much of Central Florida.
Along with the chilly temperatures, there will be a potential for a frosty start in Marion and Sumter counties.
Daytime highs Tuesday will stay in the upper 50s to mid-60s.
Midweek
The cold air sticks around into midweek, but temperatures will slowly start to rebound. Expect highs in the 70s by Wednesday and Thursday, with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s.
