Hot Turkey? First look at the weather for Thanksgiving in Central Florida

Could be warmer than average on Turkey day

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida continues to pull out of the chill from earlier in November.

And the warming trend is expected to continue through Thanksgiving.

Temperature outlook through Thanksgiving Eve.

By Thanksgiving, Central Florida will still be under the influence of a ridge of high pressure in the mid-levels of our atmosphere.

Pattern for Thanksgiving Day

These weather systems promote warm and dry weather and help to deflect storm systems to the north.

That weather feature should keep Central Florida above average in the temperature department for Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving

Most of interior Central Florida should climb into the lower 80s, with the mid-80s not out of the question for the afternoon high temperature.

The morning will likely start in the upper 50s and low 60s.

The weather should be dry as well.

The News 6 weather team will fine tune the forecast as we get closer to the holiday.
