Nice week of weather on tap as fall winds down in Florida. Here’s what to expect

Highs in 60s on Tuesday in Orlando area

ORLANDO, Fla. – A band of showers will continue to slide south Monday as a cold front shifts over South Florida.

The rain in Central Florida will taper off, but expect clouds to stick around.

Behind the front, winds will shift more northerly, keeping temperatures in the 60s north of Orlando to near 70 degrees elsewhere.

The real drop in temperatures will be felt early Tuesday, with lows dipping into the low to mid-50s, with mid- to upper 40s north and west of I-4.

This Week

From Tuesday through Thursday, high pressure builds along the Atlantic coast and stretches into Florida, helping keep things quiet and dry.

Tuesday looks like the coolest day of the week, with highs staying in the mid- to upper 60s.

By Wednesday, temperatures start to rebound into the low to mid-70s before another weak cold front reinforces another stretch of mild weather.

Looking ahead to Friday through Sunday, the dry, quiet pattern continues as a large ridge of high pressure remains the main weather feature.

Another cold front is expected to possibly pass through Central Florida on Saturday. Even so, rain chances remain low, with temperatures holding near seasonal temperatures in the mid-70s.

Overnight lows hover in the upper 40s and low 50s Friday before slowly warming as we head into early next week.
