Intense cold not seen in more than a decade could slam Central Florida. Here’s when – Central Florida is expected to see the longest cold stretch since 2018 as multiple rounds of cold are poised to visit the Sunshine State.
The final blast of Arctic air during that stretch won’t only bring the coldest air of the season, but it could be the coldest since 2010.
Another high-impact winter storm is expected to develop along the East Coast late in the work week. As the storm lifts north, it will push more Arctic air toward the Gulf Coast, including Florida, Saturday night into Sunday.
While there is some uncertainty as to exactly how cold it will get, a significant cold outbreak appears likely.
Dropping to 27 degrees Sunday would make it the coldest morning in Orlando since 2018.
A degree colder would make it the coldest since 2010. Stay tuned.
