Nice week in Central Florida heading into Valentine’s Day. Here’s your forecast

Orlando area to see highs in 70s all week

ORLANDO, Fla. – High pressure remains in control of our weather through the majority of the week, keeping conditions dry and quiet across Central Florida.

EARLY WEEK

The warming trend continues, with afternoon highs climbing to near-normal levels -- the low 70s.

Monday night remains cool, with lows mainly in the 40s into Tuesday morning, then moderating slightly into the upper 40s and low 50s by midweek.

With clear skies and light winds overnight, patchy fog will be possible into the early morning hours.

HAZARDS

Along the coast, hazardous marine conditions continue. A high risk of strong, life-threatening rip currents persists through early week due to a long-period swell, along with rough surf.

Despite warmer air temperatures, ocean conditions remain dangerous, and entering the water is strongly discouraged.

LATE WEEK

By mid-to-late week, high pressure gradually weakens as a weak front approaches from the north. This front is expected to slide into Central Florida on Thursday before weakening as it moves south.

For now, most areas remain dry, though a few showers may develop offshore, with a low-end chance of a few coastal showers.

Afternoon highs stay above normal, with a few low 80s possible.

WEEKEND

Looking ahead to the weekend, a stronger weather system takes shape. A stronger cold front will track into the area late Saturday into Sunday.

As moisture increases ahead of the front, scattered showers become possible on Valentine’s Day, with higher rain chances expected on Sunday as the front moves through.
