ORLANDO, Fla. – After a mainly sunny and warm end to the work week, the weekend is going to look and feel very different.
A strong cold front will push through Central Florida Saturday bringing with it clouds and very gusty winds.
Expect wind gusts to climb into the 30-45 mph range Saturday afternoon and stay there through Saturday morning.
It will remain breezy through Monday.
With the front nearby and a strong onshore wind, there will be gusty showers at times through the weekend. The best chances for showers will be closer to the coast.
Highs Saturday will depend on location. It will be cooler north where the clouds and front arrive first.
Highs will be in the low-to-mid 70s Sunday. The wind will remain gusty.
The strong wind will also churn up the Atlantic. Waves over the weekend, especially Saturday evening though Monday morning will break anywhere from 7-12 feet.
The rip current risk will also be extremely high.
