Breezy days ahead as rain chances increase by midweek in Central Florida

High risk of rip currents remain a concern

ORLANDO, Fla. – Onshore winds will keep a breeze in place through midweek, with spotty afternoon showers and a continued high risk of rip currents at the beaches. A mid-week uptick in rain chances is ahead.

Tuesday

Easterly winds will hold steady at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph, especially along the coast as the sea breeze develops.

That onshore flow will keep moisture in place, leading to isolated showers this afternoon (20-30% chance), mainly pushing inland with the sea breeze.

High temperatures will reach the low 80s at the coast and low to mid 80s inland under partly cloudy skies.

Beach conditions remain dangerous, with a high risk of rip currents at all east central Florida beaches.

Midweek

The pattern stays pretty consistent, with onshore winds and spotty afternoon showers each day.

Rain chances hold around 30-40% Wednesday & Thursday as moisture and instability tick up.

Easter weekend

Above-normal warmth continues, with temperatures gradually climbing through the week.

Expect more typical Florida-style afternoons, featuring a mix of sun, clouds, and isolated to scattered showers, mainly inland.
