ORLANDO, Fla. – High rain chances persist over Central Florida as high moisture and instability linger over the area.
A flood watch is in effect for Marion County west of I-75 until 8pm Monday.
Tonight
Rain chances continue to wind down as we move into Saturday night but do not cancel out completely. Spotty showers will linger overnight. Chances will range 20-30%. Temperatures will drop into the mid 70s with humid conditions.
Sunday
Rain chances increase as even more moisture pushes into Central Florida ahead of a cold front draped over the Deep South. Showers and storms will already be developing just west of I-75 by 8-9am. Showers will once again push from west to east. Storms will fill in over the I-4 corridor around noon, pushing towards the beaches around 2pm. Another round of storms is possible for the second half of the afternoon and into Sunday evening. Highs will range in the upper 80s to about 90ºF before showers and storms cool us off.
Next Week
Rain chances remain elevated to start the week as moisture lingers over the area. Expect decent shower coverage Monday afternoon. As our winds shift out of the east by mid-week, our pattern will begin to flip back to a typical sea breeze pattern. This will help to lower rain chances back to typical values with highs in the low-mid 90s.
