ORLANDO, Fla. – Another round of showers and storms is ahead Wednesday before a front brings a noticeable change to Central Florida’s weather pattern.
Wednesday
A very unsettled atmosphere will fuel scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms this afternoon as the sea breeze moves inland.
Rain chances will range from 50% to 60%, with the greatest concern being locally heavy rainfall.
Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to low 90s inland, with heat indices near 98–100 degrees.
Thursday
Thursday brings another round of showers and storms as a front pushes south across the area. Rain chances will be around 40% to 60%.
Behind the front, winds will turn out of the north and northeast and become noticeably stronger. Gusts could reach 30–35 mph, especially along the coast, creating hazardous boating and beach conditions.
Friday
By Friday, drier air will move in, cutting rain chances to just 20–30%, mainly near the coast. Highs will drop into the low to mid-80s, with some inland locations dipping into the 60s Friday night.
Weekend
The biggest change arrives this weekend as drier, slightly cooler air settles in.
Highs will still reach the 80s, but humidity will drop noticeably and overnight lows will fall into the 60s for the first time since early to mid-June.
Most of the weekend looks mostly dry, with rain chances gradually increasing again into early next week as moisture slowly returns.
