ORLANDO, Fla. – A line of rain and storms moved through Central Florida early Friday morning. 

"There was heavy rain and a few strong storms," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

Friday's rain chances drop considerably after the rain passed through, with cooler temperatures behind the front.

Friday's high will be 79. The average high for this time of year is 86.


As of Friday morning, Orlando was 8.33 inches below the average rainfall total for the year.

"The weekend will be dry, with highs in the upper 70s on Saturday and mid-80s on Sunday," Bridges said. "We will be dry all weekend and most of next week."

Expect highs in the mid- and upper 80s from Monday through Wednesday. The 90s return on Thursday.
