Tornado warning canceled for Seminole, Orange, Osceola counties

Brief touchdown of a tornado in the Buena Ventura Lakes area, reported

A severe weather warning that was issued for Friday night in Central Florida has been canceled.

A tornado warning was issued for the northwestern part of Osceola County. That warning expired
at 8:45 p.m. Several reports of a funnel cloud were reported, and the video above is from that area. Osceola County Emergency Management is reporting a possible brief touchdown of a tornado in the Buena Ventura Lakes area.

An additional tornado warning was issued for Orange County. That warning was expired early by the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

The last of the heavy showers has now ended, according to News 6 chief meteorologist Tom
Sorrells.​
