Kid turns Halloween candy into money for Sandy victims

Boy collected 108 pounds of candy

A ten year old from Texas turned his Halloween candy into money to help hurricane victims in the northeast, according to the statesman.com.

Zach Stachura gathered candy from his younger brother and friend's at school to turn into a Central Texas orthodontist who was offering a dollar per pound candy buy back program.

Stachura was able to gather 108 pounds of candy and then got a matching donation from the orthodontist. 

Stachura gave the $216 to the Red Cross to use for Sandy relief.
