Man wearing costume robs Twistee Treat, Orange County deputies say

Culprit pointed gun at employees, demanded cash

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County deputies are searching for the armed culprit who robbed a Twistee Treat store Thursday morning--all while dressed in a Halloween costume.

Deputies said the man walked into the Twistee Treat on Alafaya Trail just after 11 a.m. wearing a costume and covering his face.

The man then pointed a gun at the employee and demanded money before leaving through the back entrance.

No vehicle was spotted leaving the shop, which was open for business with several customers inside, deputies said.

It's not clear what costume the robber was wearing.

No other information was immediately available.
