Student, 11, grabbed while walking home from school in Kissimmee

Police search for person who grabbed boy

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - An 11-year-old boy walking home from school Tuesday was grabbed by a person in Kissimmee, police said 

Kissimmee police said the incident happened about 3:10 p.m. in the area of Dillingham Avenue and Patrick Street.

According to police, the student was dropped off by a school bus and was walking home when an older-model two-door black vehicle with dark tinted windows pulled up to the boy.

A passenger in the vehicle called out to the student, offering candy and saying that the boy won a cash prize, police said.

The student did not approach the car, but the assailant got out and grabbed the boy, police said.

The student was able to get away and ran home, police said.

The boy was not injured. Police did not say which school the student attends.

The culprit was described by police as a 5 feet tall, with brown skin, a foreign accent and skin discoloration on his forearms. He was wearing a black shirt, khaki pants and black shoes.
