Freeze warning issued overnight for multiple Central Florida counties

NWS issues warnings for counties from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday

ORLANDO, Fla. – A freeze warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Flagler, Lake, Marion, Orange, Seminole, Sumter and Volusia counties, taking place from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday.

A wind advisory will remain in effect until 7 p.m. Saturday, the NWS said.

News 6 meteorologist Elizabeth Hart said temperatures will be near or below freezing with wind chills in the 20s overnight.

News 6 sister station WJXT in Jacksonville reports that snow flurries were in the area. A News 6 viewer also reported that there were flurries in St. Augustine.
