Windermere High School approved as name of relief high school

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County Public Schools officials said the school board has approved Windermere High School as the name of the West Orange relief high school.

The school board selected the name, which was previously known as 27-H-W-4, for the new school being built on Winter Garden Vineland Road in west Orange County, officials said.

The school, which is set to open in August 2017, will relieve overcrowding at West Orange High School, according to OCPS.

A mascot and colors will be selected based on input from the community, officials said.
