Kaia, also known as Florida Foodie, has had a passion for food for as long as she can remember—starting with experimenting in the kitchen at a young age and growing into a never-ending curiosity for what’s next. She’s always down to try something new (and will try just about anything once), whether it’s a hidden hole-in-the-wall gem or a once-in-a-lifetime Michelin-worthy meal.

What she loves most is stepping into kitchens and watching how today’s chefs keep raising the bar—pushing flavors, techniques, and creativity in ways that make every bite feel like a story. While she has a special place in her heart for Asian cuisine, she’s passionate about learning through food and exploring the traditions behind every culture on the plate.

Kaia truly believes Central Florida has one of the best food scenes in the country, and she’s here to show you why. Because at the end of the day, food brings people together in a way few things can.

And if she’s not thinking about food (which is rare), she’s probably reading a new book, heading to Pilates, planning her next trip, or taking photos of the people she loves most.

Joey Manna

Joey is a bird nerd, wildlife photographer and the host of Everyday Wild, a Central Florida Insider original series exploring Florida’s wildlife and wild places. He’s spent years turning his backyard obsession with critters into a full-blown mission to get people outside and paying attention to the wild things living right under their noses, gators, sandhill cranes, gopher tortoises, and everything in between.

When he’s not out chasing whatever critter caught his attention that week, you can find him touching grass and picking up bugs (literally), digging around in the garden, or hunting down his next rare houseplant. He’s also usually behind the scenes helping Kara and Kaia film Daytripper’s, Florida Foodie, and Central Florida Insider LIVE, because if there’s a camera rolling on something fun in Central Florida, there’s a good chance Joey had something to do with it.
