ORLANDO, Fla. – The meter reader who found the remains of Caylee Anthony has been fired from his job with Orange County.
Roy Kronk was terminated from his Orange County Utilities job this week, Local 6 News reported.

The county would not reveal why Kronk was fired, but Kronk's attorney, David Evans, issued a statement on Thursday saying the termination relates to a workplace injury.
Evans said Kronk injured his neck and shoulder while lifting boxes at an Orange County Utilities warehouse.
"This dispute arose because Mr. Kronk's management directed him to resume work duties after his injury, and Mr. Kronk and his health care providers did not consider it to be safe or medically appropriate to resume those duties at this time," Evans said.
Kronk is evaluating his legal options, Evans said.
Local 6 reported that the firing means the county will no longer have to pay Kronk's legal fees related to the Casey Anthony case.
Casey Anthony, 23, remains jailed on first-degree charges in the death of her daughter, Caylee, whose remains were discovered by Kronk in a wooded lot near the Anthony family's east Orange County home in December. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July 2008.
Casey Anthony has pleaded not guilty, claiming that a baby sitter kidnapped Caylee.
