'Dr. G' donates TV show earnings to charity
Central Florida charities benefit from Caylee Anthony TV special
ORLANDO, Fla. – Dr. Jan Garavaglia, also known as "Dr. G", says she donated money from her TLC show to charities in Central Florida.
Dr. Garavaglia, the Chief Medical Examiner for Orange and Osceola counties, is perhaps well known for her role in the Casey Anthony murder trial.
Her show, "Dr. G: Inside the Caylee Anthony Case", first aired on TLC on Jan. 1, featuring her talking in-depth about her findings in the case.
While it's not clear how much money she made from the TV special, Dr. Garavaglia says she donated 100 percent of the earnings to organizations including The Russel Home for Atypical Children, which helps severely handicapped children in Central Florida as well as Harbor House of Central Florida.
