PALM BAY, Fla. – The concrete signs that once greeted I-95 travelers to Brevard County's largest city could return by the end of the year.

The concrete letters spelling "Palm Bay" are expected to be installed as a part of a $1.1 million beautification project for Palm Bay Road.

Local 6 News partner Florida Today reports that the city received the grant last year from the Florida Department of Transportation, which pays for all of the project costs.

The new signs are expected to look much like the original signs.
