Deputies began their investigation March 19 when an officer from the store reported the problem.  Detectives said they found receipts for returned jewelry with conflicting signatures.  They also looked at surveillance video showing Stanley processing the fake transactions with no customers at the counter, officials said.

According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, Stanley admitted to detectives she stole the money in order to pay for her daughter's medical bills.

Stanley bonded out of jail Friday, according to Marion County Jail records.
