Sanford police officer fired over racial Facebook post Vanessa Knode also accused of improper use of patrol car
SANFORD, Fla. – A 28-year-old Sanford police officer was fired after she used inappropriate language on a social media page.
Local 6 has confirmed Vanessa Knode was fired over a racial post that appeared on Facebook, but police have not released the specific comment.
Knode, who had been with the Sanford Police Department for more than a year, is also accused of using her patrol car improperly while she was off-duty.
Sanford police said the investigation into Knode was finalized March 7.
No other information was immediately known.
