The robbery happened around 1:30 a.m. Friday at the Circle K at 2901 Canoe Creek Road in St. Cloud.

According to police, a man wearing a Spider-Man mask, a green jacket and black gloves entered the store and went to the counter.

The man, who was carrying a machete, placed a red lunch bag on the counter and demanded money from the clerk, who was working alone, St. Cloud police said.

The man ran away after robbing the store.

No injuries were reported.

Local 6 showed some store customers the images of the masked robber, and they were shocked at what they saw.

"If you're a single mom coming back from a holiday party or family, and you stop at the store to get something real quick -- and having my kids with me -- it's frightening," said Ann Stull.

"This is usually a really safe area," said Michele Rinehart. "I'm never scared."

Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Cloud Police Department at 407-891-6700 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
