FHP: Wrong-way driver arrested in Hillsborough FHP: Man arrested for DUI No description found
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol said a man was arrested early Sunday morning for DUI after they received calls about him driving the wrong way on I-75.
Troopers said they received calls about a driver in a gold Saturn going eastbound in the westbound lanes of SR-618 at 3:50 a.m. Sunday.
According to FHP, 24 year-old Kevin Smisor was stopped by a waiting Hillsborough County Sheriff's Deputy when he turned southbound on to the northbound lanes of I-75.
FHP said Smisor refused to provide a breath test at the Hillsborough County Jail.
Troopers said Smisor was charged with DUI and driving the wrong way on a limited access road after he was detained.
