Autopsy report released in death of 16-year-old Alexandria Chery

Sanel Saint Simon charged with 1st degree murder

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orange County Medical Examiner's Office released on Tuesday its autopsy report in the death of 16-year-old Alexandria Chery.

Alexandria was reported missing by her mother and was found on Aug. 1. Deputies identified her body on Aug. 6, almost a week after her remains were found near the Osceola-Polk County line.

According to the 17-page autopsy report, the medical examiner found that Alexandria died of blunt head trauma and superficial sharp force injuries.

Alexandria was beaten in the head at least twice and stabbed at least once, the report states, but her body was badly decomposed so it couldn't be determined which wound killed her.

Alexandria's mother's boyfriend, Sanel Saint Simon, 43, is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and giving false information to law enforcement concerning a missing person investigation.

Saint Simon is awaiting trial in the Orange County Jail.
