David Brevick made a frantic 911 call saying two men had come into his home and were choking his wife, but the Sheriff's Office said he made the whole thing up.

"Don't do this. You guys are crazy. What is wrong with you," Brevick said in the 911 call.

When Brevard County sheriff's deputies arrived, they found the home locked and secure, despite being told there were intruders inside.

Brevick's wife, 56-year-old Francia Vargas-Brevick was found unresponsive, lying on the couple's bedroom floor when deputies arrived, officials said. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

Investigators said based on the autopsy and interviews, they were able to charge Brevick with his wife's murder.

Brevick denied being the one who killed his wife, according to deputies.

Sentencing for Brevick is set for Dec. 19 at 9:15 a.m.
