2 charged in death of man shot while riding motorized scooter Kevin Padilla, 19, killed on Feb. 6

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Two men have been charged in the death of a 19-year-old man who died after being shot on Feb. 6 on Rio Pinar Lakes Boulevard.
Police responded to a hit-and-run call but when they arrived they found Keven Padilla, 19, lying by his scooter with a gunshot wound.
Police said they determined that Padilla's fatal injuries were sustained by the gunshot wound and not the crash.
Marc Rivera, 16, who police said knew Padilla, was charged Thursday with first-degree murder, while Jasen Timothy Checo, 19, was charged with first-degree felony murder.
