Teen uses billboard for prom proposal

BOISE, Idaho – Prom season is here and while many teens are trying to think of the perfect way to ask their potential date to the big dance, one Idaho teen did it big.

"It's our last prom and I just kind of wanted to do something special," said John Alder.

Alder decided to ask girlfriend Betsy Sabala to the prom by plastering her face on a giant billboard outside of their Boise school.

The ad reads, "Must be pretty, sweet, a tennis player and named Betsy Sabala."

The ad cost Adler $110, but the big effort paid off when Sabala said yes.
