Man arrested for possessing explosives in Winter Park

Explosive devices sold to undercover agent

WINTER PARK, Fla. – A man from Casselberry was arrested Thursday after selling explosive devices to an undercover agent in Winter Park, according to the Department of Justice.

Carl Pisa, 24, was contacted by an undercover task force agent with the Orange County Sheriff's Office in response to an online ad for a military simulator for sale in December 2014.

Pisa met with the undercover agent on several occasions and sold 12 improvised explosive devices in a parking lot Feb. 6, authorities said.

The devices were sent to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives laboratory for examination.

If convicted, Pisa faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison.
