Wife of man found shot in Groveland home charged with attempted murder

Police: Two young children also inside the house at time

GROVELAND, Fla. – Groveland police have arrested the woman they say shot her husband in their home earlier this month.

Shalom Toney was arrested and charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery on her husband, along with a charge of child abuse.

Police said they were called to the home on Osprey Cove Circle on June 8 after the victim went to a neighbor saying he had been stabbed.

Police arrived and say they instead found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center with what police say are non-life threatening injuries.

Toney was taken to Lake County Jail, where she is being held without bond.
