Brevard judge won't fight punishment

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A Brevard County judge who was captured on video berating a public defender will not fight his suspension.

Judge John Murphy challenged public defender Andrew Weinstock in court last year.

According to Local 6 news partners at Florida Today, Murphy has said he will accept the sanctions issued from a judicial qualifications commission.

Last month, the panel recommended a four-month suspension, a fine, and continued mental-health counseling for anger management.
