Orlando woman dies in overnight accident, FHP says

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – An Orlando woman died Saturday morning after a head-on collision in Brevard County.

Keri DeMott, of Orlando, was driving west on State Road 407 near Interstate 95 when the crash happened.

Keith Pumphrey, of Melbourne, was driving east on State Road 407, when he drove left of the center line traveling into the direct path of DeMott's vehicle, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The two vehicles collided head-on.

Pumphrey was taken to Holmes Regional Hospital and is in critical condition.

The accident is under investigation and charges are pending.
