October is breast cancer awareness month and many people like to sport their pink gear to show support. But a group of high school cheerleaders were told they weren't allowed to wear their pink uniforms to the game, WTSP reports.
The squad for Tampa Bay Technical High School proudly wore the pink uniforms last year, but now a district policy is preventing them from doing so.

Hillsborough County Public Schools spokeswoman Tanya Arja says if the cheerleaders wore them last year that they shouldn't have. She added that this district policy that bans them has been in place for years.
Many of them say they have a personal connection to someone with breast cancer and that the policy is very disappointing.
The district does allow cheerleaders to accessorize their uniforms with pink items like bows and socks, but says the uniforms themselves cannot be pink.
