Officials said Frederick Walker, who celebrates his birthday in a few days, went to Tallahassee Thursday morning to claim his prize.

Walker's ticket, which was purchased from Sav-A-Ton, 199 North Country Club Road in Lake Mary, matched all five white numbers, but didn't match the Powerball and got the Power Play, according to officials.

Walker said he had never purchased a lottery ticket before.

“When I heard about the billion dollar Powerball jackpot, I decided to try my luck and buy a ticket,” Walker told Florida Lottery. “I got to the store, and there was already a completed play slip at the playstation.”

Walker said he figured those numbers were as good as any so he took that play slip up to the counter and purchased his ticket.

“How lucky that the first time I played, I won!”

Sav-A-Ton will receive a bonus commission of $5,000 for selling a winning ticket, officials said.

Officials haven't identified the jackpot ticket winner from Melbourne Beach as of Thursday afternoon. The grand prize winning ticket, which will share the historic $1.5 billion jackpot, was sold at the Publix at 3830 State Road A1A in Melbourne Beach.

The other grand prize winning tickets were sold in California and Tennessee.

The winning Powerball numbers called Wednesday night were 4-8-19-27-34 (Powerball) 10.
