Police identify victims in Sanford dog attack

Pack of dogs critically injure woman inside home

SANFORD, Fla. – Authorities have released the names on Monday of the victims who were attacked by dogs at a Sanford apartment complex.

Police say a group of pit bulls attacked 50-year-old Virginia Farley, 29-year-old Richard Farley and a third juvenile victim at the Stonebrook Apartments on Jan. 19. 

Virginia Farley was badly injured and is still in critical condition as of Monday night.

The officer shot and killed five dogs, and a sixth had to be coaxed out of the home.

Stonebrook's website lists a pet policy: "Stonebrook Apartments only allows 2 pets per apartment. Breed restrictions apply. Please contact one of our leasing professionals for further details."
