Teacher accused of sex with student in classroom bonds out of jail

Deputies: 41-year-old teacher contacted former student on adult website

CLERMONT, Fla. – A 41-year-old Lake County high school teacher arrested after detectives say the teacher had sex with a 17-year-old student in his classroom has bonded out of jail.

Marshall Jungreis, a teacher at East Ridge High School in Clermont, has been charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor after an investigation, which began in 2015, according to a release from Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Jungreis faced a judge Saturday at the Lake County jail and was granted a $25,000 bond. The judge ordered him to stay away from the alleged victim if he posted bond.

Jungreis bonded out and left the Lake County jail just after 5 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies said the 17-year-old student reported Jungreis messaged her on an adult website known as AdultFriendFinder.com.

Jungreis, who was the victim's former teacher, picked her up at 1 a.m. in November 2015 and drove her to East Ridge High School where he unlocked the bus gate, drove up to his portable classroom and had sex with the student, according to deputies.

Jungreis told deputies during an interview Thursday that he was in the company of the victim, but denied the sexual activity.

A communications officer with Lake County Schools told News 6 that Jungreis, a social studies teacher, is still employed with the school district. He has been reassigned to a location with no student contact while the investigation remains open.
