ORLANDO, Fla. – A 27-year-old man was arrested Thursday on allegations of taking upskirt videos of girls in a Publix in Orlando.
Scott Wesley Irwin was arrested on charges of video voyeurism.
According to Orlando police, on two separate occasions in February, a customer inside the Publix on Meeting Place saw Irwin place his cellphone in a basket and record video under the skirts or shorts of girls aged 5 to 13 years old.
The customer reported the incidents to store management and Orlando police, who identified Irwin as the suspect through an investigation, according to authorities.
"This is a great example of, 'If you see something, say something.'" Orlando police said. "This customer was astute enough to notify store management, who cooperated fully with our investigation."
Irwin was arrested on felony charges and is out of jail.
