Man fatally shot in Apopka by girlfriend, Orange County deputies say

APOPKA, Fla. – A man is dead after being shot by his girlfriend in Apopka, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of East 13th Street.

The man has been identified by deputies as 34-year-old Sean Ware. He was taken to Florida Hospital Apopka, where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies said Saturday the investigation revealed Ware was shot by his girlfriend, who cooperated with detectives and provided a statement.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrest has been made, the Sheriff's Office said.
