Carlos Cruz, Jonathan Sanchez face multiple charges

Two men were arrested on Friday after disposing cocaine and marijuana before deputies pulled them over for a traffic stop, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies were attempting to conduct a traffic stop on Ham Brown Road in Kissimmee when they observed a car turning into Sunrise Elementary School.

Deputies observed Carlos Cruz and Jonathan Sanchez throwing small bags of marijuana and cocaine out the window before they came to a complete stop, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies conducted the traffic stop and located 20 small bags of marijuana, 140 small bags of cocaine, and a large amount of cash, the release said.

Cruz and Sanchez were both charged with tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

Cruz was also charged with driving with a suspended license.

Both men were arrested and booked in to the Osceola County Jail.
