Allegiant Airlines addresses numerous flight delays

Reasons for flight delays include lack of available staff, maintenance issues

ORLANDO, Fla. – Allegiant Airlines released a statement about the delayed and canceled flights over the last two days, saying that flights were delayed for reasons including lack of available staff, maintenance issues and "operational issues."

"We apologize for the inconvenience to our passengers," the statement said. "All passengers were provided with food vouchers, hotel accommodations, the option to reschedule their flight to another in the Allegiant system and $100 off vouchers for future travel. Passengers who choose not to travel will be issued a full refund of the airfare portion of their itinerary."
