Roads close for downtown Orlando IOA Corporate 5K

Roads will close in downtown Orlando on Thursday for the Insurance Office of America's Corporate 5K.

The race begins at 6:45 p.m. at Central Boulevard for runners and Eola Drive for walkers.

More than 18,000 runners and walkers from over 700 companies and non-profit organizations are expected to attend. 

The following roads will be closed down:

• Southbound Eola Drive from Robinson Street to Washington Street until Friday at  6 p.m.
• Northbound Eola Drive from Robinson Street to Washington Street Thursday from noon to 11 p.m. 
• Central Blvd. from Summerlin Avenue to Rosalind Avenue from 11 a.m. until 11p.m.
• Robinson St. from Bumby Avenue to Rosalind Avenue Thursday from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.
• Eola Drive from Central Boulevard to Washington Street Thursday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Race festivities are scheduled to run from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., according to the city of Orlando website.

Beer will be for sale, along with prepackaged food/water being distributed.
