Brevard Zoo releases rehabilitated turtle in Satellite Beach Zoo's rehabilitated turtle relased in Satellite Beach
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A green sea turtle who was rehabilitated at Brevard Zoo’s Sea Turtle Healing Center was released in Satellite Beach on Tuesday night, according to the Brevard Zoo news release.
The turtle named Wow was brought to the center last November with several hooks embedded in its flippers and digestive system.
Wow was named after Women of the Wild, a group of women who help raise awareness about programs and projects supported by Brevard Zoo.
The conservation group was touring the facility when the turtle was admitted, according to the release.
