2 arrested in hours-long crime spree in Orlando

Culprits carjacked driver, robbed 2 gas stations, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two people were arrested early Tuesday in an hours-long crime spree that included a carjacking and two armed robberies, according to Orlando police.

Authorities said the culprits carjacked a driver on Semoran Boulevard at La Costa Drive before robbing two 7-
Eleven stores on Goldenrod Road at 3:03 a.m. and 3:09 a.m.

The assailants crashed the stolen car on Curry Ford Road near Dunsany Avenue, police said. The driver suffered minor abrasions, but both were taken into custody, police said.

No one was hurt in the robberies, police said.

Miguel Gil, 22, has been charged with carjacking with a firearm, grand theft of a motor vehicle with a mask, false imprisonment, robbery with a firearm and robbery with a mask.

Frantz Theodore, 21, has been charged with carjacking with a firearm, grand theft of a motor vehicle with a mask and accessory to robbery with a firearm.

They both were booked into Orange County Jail.
