4 armed men target Wendy's in Titusville

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Titusville police continue to search for the bandits who robbed several fast-food restaurant workers at gunpoint early Tuesday.

News 6 partner Florida Today reports that the armed robbery happened about 1 a.m. Tuesday at the Wendy’s restaurant at 3000 Garden St. Employees at the store called 911 dispatchers and said the robbers walked into the store as they were closing. An unknown amount of cash was stolen, reports show.

Police reported several workers were in an office while another was mopping the floor when the robbers forced them into a room and demanded cash. The employees turned over cash from the restaurant safe.

Several patrol officers responded to the site along with police dogs used to assist in the search for suspects.

An investigation is ongoing.
