ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A new Zika virus case in Orange County was announced on Friday, by the Florida Department of Health.

Six additional cases were announced in Miami-Dade, Broward and Pinellas.

Miami-Dade County has the highest number of Zika virus cases in the state at 58.

This brings the total number of cases in Florida to 156.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that women who are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant postpone travel to areas affected by the Zika virus.

Since January, Florida has been monitoring pregnant women with evidence of Zika virus regardless of symptoms.
