St. Cloud man dead after Osceola County crash, FHP says

Car crosses into westbound lanes, crashes into front of SUV

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A St. Cloud man is dead after a head-on crash Friday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened before 10 p.m. on Boggy Creek Road near High Plains Lane in Osceola County.

Troopers said a Toyota Corolla was traveling east on Boggy Creek Road while a Hummer H3 was traveling west on the road. Both vehicles were approaching High Plains Lane.

The driver of the Toyota failed to navigate the curve and crossed into the westbound lanes of Boggy Creek Road, where the front of the Toyota crashed into the Hummer, troopers said.

The 22-year-old driver of the Toyota was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, troopers said. The 46-year-old driver of the Hummer suffered minor injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
