Orlando Eye to light up with election results Tuesday night
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Eye will be lit up in red and blue Tuesday night to display election results as the votes are counted.
The special lighting will begin at approximately 5:32 p.m. when the sun sets. The Eye will start out half red and half blue and then begin changing colors so the red portion represents the percent of votes for Donald Trump and the blue portion represents the percent of votes for Hillary Clinton.
A spokeswoman for the Orlando Eye said staff will be monitoring multiple election polls and media sources to make sure the lighting accurately represents national votes.
"This is the first presidential election for the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye, and the team is excited to showcase the wheel’s 64,000 LEDs for tonight’s special election lighting," the company said in a statement.
Come midnight, the Eye will lighting will switched to American flag colors.
