On Monday, a Boost Mobile employee said he was outside the store when a truck pulled up and the passenger, who had his face partially covered, asked him what time the store would open the next day.

The employee thought the encounter was suspicious, so he went inside and hid large bills that were in the register. While he was doing this, two teens entered with their faces partially covered. They pointed handguns at the employee and ordered him to get on the floor, police said.

One of the teens emptied the register while the other stole the employee's wallet and a cellphone that was on the counter, according to an affidavit. They fled in the truck.

That same day, one of the teens went to a Kwik King store and held the cashier at gunpoint, demanding the cash from the register and then fleeing on foot, police said.

Police spotted the Chevy Avalanche around 6 p.m. Tuesday, and an officer driving an unmarked Crown Victoria activated his lights to try to pull over the vehicle.

The driver, 16-year-old Dexavion Brown, elude police for about 1.6 miles before the vehicle stopped and he and his passenger, 18-year-old Levon Buckhanon, fled on foot, the affidavit said.

Police said that during the foot pursuit, Buckhanon dumped a handgun and a fanny pack full of stolen credit cards and a scale. Upon Buckhanon's arrest, police said they found 28 grams of marijuana on him.

Buckhanon is charged with resisting arrest without violence and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Brown is charged with fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest without violence, two counts of robbery with a firearm and auto theft.
