Man shot in back at Clermont birthday party
Victim airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center
CLERMONT, Fla. – A 27-year-old man was shot twice in the back late Thursday at a birthday party in Clermont, police said.
The shooting was reported at 10:38 p.m. at a home in the 400 block of East Desoto Street.
Clermont police said a group was playing cards under a carport during a birthday party when as many as three people approached them.
Police said there was some sort of altercation, possibly an armed robbery, which led to shots being fired.
One man was struck in the back, police said. He was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
Clermont police said the assailants fled the scene and have not been located.
